Oblong 8vo (180 × 202 mm), pp.[100], 12. Black-and-white photographs. Text by Sadayoshi Fukuda in Japanese and English. Design by Hitoshi Suzuki. Card endpapers printed in silver. Black wrappers printed in white, affixed to spine as issued; spine corners and tips lightly rubbed. Textured wrappers printed and stamped in silver; nick to bottom edge of front panel. Bi-fold colour plate laid in. Near-fine.

First edition. Mind Games is Suzuki’s third book, taking it’s title from a song by John Lennon. The Japanese title refers to the first chapter, 'People under the Tent' ,which contains photographs of a travelling circus troupe which invoked memories for Suzuki of his childhood. The subsequent chapters are named ‘Aqua’, ‘Lying in the Ruins’, and ‘Fool on the Road’, the last being a photographic essay about a homeless man who Suzuki befriended. Scarce.
