First edition. Renger-Patzsch was commissioned to photograph the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany where the Siepmann family live and where their industrial manufacturing business is situated. Many of the photographs were taken during the winter and this elegantly designed book was issued by Siepmann at Christmas as a gift for their clients.
