4to (265 × 203 mm), pp.128. Black-and-white illustrations. Introduction by Tim Guest, essay by Germano Celant, all text in English and French; pages lightly tanned. Black-and-white photo-illustrated perfect bound wrappers, text in black; lightly toned, light surface marks to front, handling creases to rear. An excellent copy.

First edition. This scarce catalogue for an exhibition on artists’ books toured several venues in Canada between May 1981 and October 1982. It reproduces Germano Celant’s essay which was first published in Book as Artwork, which accompanied an important exhibition at Nigel Greenwood Gallery, London in 1972.
