First edition, one of 250 copies. Following two failed attempts to occupy the London Stock Exchange, on 15 October 2011 protestors representing the global Occupy movement set up a semi-permanent camp outside St. Paul’s Cathedral. On 25 October in what appeared to be an attempt to undermine any mainstream support, several UK newspapers and media outlets ran stories claiming that thermal imaging cameras proved that only around 10% of the 250 tents were inhabited overnight. Roberts was immediately sceptical of these claims and proceeded to visit the camp on 31 October from 6 pm until around midnight, and photographed some of the communal and private spaces therein, documenting traces of activity and inhabitance.

Although initially welcomed by the cathedral’s canon chancellor, Dr. Giles Fraser, the protest embarrassed both the Church of England and the City of London authorities and the site was forcibly cleared on 28 February 2012.
