First edition, a presentation copy to a judge of the wrappered issue. Jenicek, who was himself a Major, is perhaps best known for Dvacet Let and Cesko-Slovenska Armada, his two 1938 books on the Czechoslovakian army which were designed by Ladislav Sutnar. In this book he follows an army ski unit as they complete a course of training at a base in the mountains and then set out on an expedition.
