Conversation between Becker and Christiane Stahl reproduced in German and English; lightly toned. Grey cloth-covered boards, colour photographic reproduction affixed to debossed panel on front, spine and front lettered in white; light production creasing to image on front. Becker’s presentation inscription in pencil with a drawing on title-page. Gallery Blindstamp to first page. Post-it notes from gallery use to several pages. Near-fine.

First edition of Becker’s first book, inscribed to Michael Hoppen with a drawing of a large format camera: ‘Hoping for a good cooperation / Munich 4.12.2007 / [signed] Olaf Otto Becker’.

Over the course of three years Becker travelled throughout Iceland, making these photographs which eloquently explore the collision of nature and civilization, mostly working at night during the long hours of flat sunlight.
