First edition. To Camp 4 Kiriko... is the last of four scarce and sought after books self-published by Kawahito in 1972. In this instance, the title is taken from John Lennon’s lyrics for the song Mother which appears on his album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (1970).

In 1968, after studying at the Japanese School of Photography in Osaka, he joined the advertising agency Light Publicity Company, leaving in 1971 to work as a freelance photographer and cameraman on advertising campaigns and editorial assignments.
