Based in Seattle, Johnson has exhibited his work at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; and the Aperture Foundation, New York. His work is held in the permanent collections of institutions including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Seattle Art Museum; and the George Eastman House, Rochester, NY.
